To the Street Fighter Community,
Thank you for all of the years of memories and happiness. I guess this is my last post on this blog. I know I have been posting sporadic posts on different tournaments and thoughts, but now I am officially done with Street Fighter. Hopefully you all continue to grow and succeed, not in the game, but in life! I hope that this blog brought some importance and value to some of your lives. Thanks so much for reading and being such good friends!
Best Regards,
Teresa Lee

Evo 2k10
Hey everyone!
I know this post is pretty late but I figured I should write a short update on how Evo went this year anyways. So this year was a highly anticipated event and I got to meet a ton of new people! It was quite the experience. The event was held in this huge ballroom in Caesar's Palace. Although the service of this hotel was amongst the worst service I have ever received in my life, I still had a good time nonetheless. The top two came down to Ricky Ortiz and Daigo Umehara. This year Daigo took the victory yet again, but the finals were fun to watch. I really want to give a huge shout out to two players that just took the event by storm and they would be Vangief and Gamerbee. They are the two newest and most talented faces... at least to my knowledge they are. So definitely good job to them! Although there were lots of disappointments this year, overall it was still a fun time with new and old friends. I didn't compete in the ladies tournament because I really didn't want to. I guess competitive gaming really is not my scene and I am completely okay with that. The winner of the ladies tournament was Kayane. She is a Chun Li player from France and also a top Soul Calibur player! Exciting! So anyways, luckily this year I didn't get as sick as I did last year. I just got a sore throat and a horrible cough for a few days. I am not sure how next year's Evo will be, but hopefully it'll be bigger and better than this year's!
Thank you all!

Anticipating Evo 2010!
So all you gamers, if you love video games then you should all be aware of the quick arrival of EVOLUTION 2010! AHHH! I am super excited. Last year I had so much fun at Evo, but I already know that this year will be so crazy. I cannot wait to see all of my friends and enjoy a long weekend in Las Vegas with stiff competition and hopefully stiff alcoholic beverages too. I am too excited to see who shows up! Still have to make my list of things to pack but I just can't wait! GOTTA LOVE THE VEGAS!
See you all there! Be there or be square!

SUPER STREET FIGHTER 4 TO ME!
Hey again!
Well, a while ago I posted a blog titled "Street Fighter 4 to me" and basically in that blog I wrote about many of my weaknesses in that game. Since Super came out in April, I guess I should update my top 3 favorite characters again and also write a little bit about what I like about each one of them!
My top 3 favorite picks!
1. Balrog - Look man, I am a dedicated woman Rofl! I feel like if I stop using Balrog then I am abandoning him. I have used him for over a year and it would be sad if I stopped all of a sudden. Everything for him is pretty much the same, except he does less damage (BOOOO)! Also, I think that his new ultra "the dirty bull" is complete ASS ASS ASS ASS ASS! I am still trying to do combos with him but hopefully when I finally purchase the game and everything, then I will get more practice in with him :)
2. Ibuki - Gosh! I absolutely love her! She is so fun and her mix ups are awesome. I know she has a "vortex" but I have not yet practiced enough with her to be good at that "vortex". Hell, I don't even know half her combos yet! The down side to her is her low health. She has a super jump which is pretty cool. I have a hard time doing her cross up kunais but that is because I have yet to really learn her. She is pretty awesome though!! "IBUKI ON THE SCENE!"
3. Cammy - I have fallen in love with Cammy. She has low life like Ibuki but she still does a really decent amount of damage and stun on her opponents. Plus, after seeing all the flashy combos and links she has... man is this character on fire. I can't really say much about her seeing as to how I have only tried her one time. But I am excited to dabble with her a little more and learn more insight about her in the future!
Overall, when SSF4 came out I was kind of irritated because to me it was like learning a whole new game. Many of the "mechanics" of this game is different than the last one. I am still learning about new ultras and also about new cross ups and mix ups. It is definitely a challenge for me to remember this stuff because I don't get to play that often, but I am really looking forward to purchasing the game soon and actually getting a decent amount of practice in. I like to push my skills to the limit in anything I do! I hope everyone else is enjoying the new game as well!

ALL FEMALE TOURNAMENTS
Hey everybody!
It just popped into my mind the one thing that I have yet to write about, and that is the topic of female tournaments. Many people are against the idea of having a girls tournament. Most of their concerns are that these kind of events are sexist or degrading against women.
Coming from my personal experience and perspective on this issue; seeing as to how I happen to be a girl and I happen to have played a few times in tournaments (including ladies of sf4)... I must say that I disagree with the ideas that these events pose a negative impact on society and the gaming industry. In my opinion, it is fair that girls get to play other girls because there are not that many females who really take Sf4 seriously and compete and practice like the majority of the men out there. It is not sexist or disrespectful to put these women in the same room together and give them a chance to show each other their skills and abilities. Many people are saying that it is a "sideshow" or these events are for "attention". I agree to some degree that they may be for some attention but to be honest with everyone, it doesn't matter what day in age it is, a woman playing a game competitively OR being GOOD at that game has always been a spectacle. It just proves that society has labeled it as that and that men have always been the gender to dominate this industry.
Girls have makeup, clothes, etc. And many guys play video games. Before I was introduced into this scene I thought that it was somewhere nerds hang out and I did not want any part to do with it. But after meeting all these great people through gaming, I stopped being so ignorant and opened up my world to the gaming industry.
I think it is a great opportunity for the women who are entering this years Evo female tournament. It is awesome that they get to experience playing firsthand on a huge stage with thousands of people witnessing their skills. Not many people get to say that they played at Evo in front of everyone. That is a big deal to me. Of course I will not be playing :( It is too much pressure for me! But good luck to the ladies who do enter this year!
All in all, female tournaments give more opportunities to the girls who just want to experience a taste of what it is like to game professionally or competitively. I would understand if females were never allowed to compete with guys and only allowed to compete amongst other women; THEN I would say it is degrading and all that stuff... but seeing as to how these events are just an extra BONUS on top of the regular tournaments, there is no harm in them whatsoever.
Thanks for reading!

Farewell Fedex Fight Nights Party
Howdy ya'll!
So yesterday night was very eventful. After attending the last day of E3 (awesome stuff), Keno and I ventured on to Huntington Beach to attend the farewell party to the Fedex Fight Nights. It was the first and last one that we went to :( I personally thought that it was really nice and chill. It was not a huge event so I was quite comfortable and I had seats to choose from... normally I have to stand the whole time! The event was thrown at the Huntington Beach Hotel and it was basically just casuals and then a SSF4 tournament. I am proud to say that I entered! Entering tournaments is definitely something that I rarely do! I did not win not one match but I am still proud of myself. There were snacks and beverages at the room so it was all really nice. I had a fun time playing matches and just talking to all of my good friends. I also met some new people. HEY GEORGE! HE was the person who really threw this event for everyone. Sad but true, Fedex Fight Nights are over... but I am glad that it went out with a big bang! We even got goodie bags! I LOVE GOODIE BAGS! We got really nice t-shirts and cute mini water bottles that were designed for Fedex Fight Nights! It was adorable... I am currently wearing the shirt right now. The small in male size is still pretty big but I love it! I hope that eventually this event will start somewhere new... I fully support the cause and the people who threw it!
Love Teresa!
(AS YOU WILL NOTICE, I AM WEARING THE SHIRT IN THE PICTURE ABOVE AT THE TOP OF THIS POST! AWESOME!)

Keno's 22nd birthday!
Hey!
Well I figured I would post about as many events as possible, even though it is on the same day! Recently (May 14th, 2010) Keno's friends and I threw him a "surprise" bonfire beach party for his 22nd birthday. The turnout was really wonderful and I must say that the event turned out better than his birthday last year. There were so many people and a LOT of food. Aj Papa took the heavy task of buying three family packs of Popeyes. He said he did it for Keno... lol. It was at Corona Del Mar, and that was the first time I had ever been to that beach. It was SO pretty! Sad but true, it was also the first time I had ever seen actual "blue water" lol... not that shitty greenish colored sewer water.
Kai (Raymond Tang) made 125 jello shots, each containing WAY too much fucking Vodka! I had one and I was immediately grossed out. But the others were super brave as they took shot after shot... I still don't know how they do it!
All in all, this event was super fun. Street Fighter is great and all, but this stupid drama filled scene would be absolutely meaningless if it weren't for all the awesome people I met.
Love Teresa!
SSF4/Wednesday Night Fights/Norcal Regionals!
It has been a while since I posted one of these things. So I want to get into a little bit about the new game Super SF4, Wednesday Night Fights, and also a little bit about the much anticipated Norcal Regionals!
(SUPER STREET FIGHTER 4)
So people have been asking me about whether or not I am actively playing in this new game, but unfortunately I am not. It is still fun, but I am rather impatient now because in a sense, I feel as if I am learning about a brand new game and it gets quite frustrating at times. In the beginning, I played Makoto but soon realized that I was better off as an Ibuki player. "Ibuki on the scene!" She is hard to use and her life is not that great; definitely a huge difference for me since I use Balrog and I am so used to being defensive and turtling a great deal of the time. It is still really fun to play this game in my spare time when I am around it. I do not own a console or the game so the only times I get to play are if I am at Keno's house, the arcade, or some other event. All the unblockable ultras in this game upset me because I suck at blocking those things and I feel that Abel's new ultra is so good rofl. I am looking for to Evo2010 because I am so curious to see what people around the world have been doing with these new characters. As for me, I am now just playing this game for fun... and fun only lol.
(Wednesday Night Fights)
I recently attended my first WnF and it was interesting. This event is probably the only acception to me being allowed in dave and busters, since I am not yet 21 (shitty). It was fun and I saw many familiar faces. This event seems like a great way for people to get together every week and enjoy each others company while also gaining more knowledge about different play styles and situations in Super SF4.
(Norcal Regionals)
I do not have much to say about this particular event since it has not yet started lol. But I do know that it is much anticipated. I myself and very curious to see the turnout because Justin Wong, Keno, and Mike Ross are teaming for the 3v3; this should be a very interesting series of events. I cannot wait to see what happens!
Thanks for reading to those who did...

Recent updates!
Hey everybody!
It has really been a long time since I have posted one of these SF4 updates! Well, here I am again! I have still been attending most of the Street Fighter events, but I have forgotten the details so I will share as much as my memory allows. For starters, Super Street Fighter 4 is coming out and I am so excited to finally get some new characters! AKA fresh meat!
A.I. Ranbats season 3
I have been attending these ranbats. Personally, I am growing tired of the same old scene lol, but these ranbats are still pretty much held on Sundays and they usually last all day. Keno hasn't been really winning these tournaments but I think it is all in preparation of the SSF4 that has everybody holding their breaths.
FFA LA Riots Qualifiers
I have attended two of these qualifier tournaments held at "family fun arcade"... mainly because Keno has been a gatekeeper for both of these events. I like the arcade, but they charge 50 cents to play SF4 and that's retarded lol, I am used to the whole 25 cents - token thing at Arcade Infinity. I actually like these events that Gootecks puts together because it feels like I am at home and I get to play on the console that they have connected to the gaming sections, so technically, it was free for me to play. I also played Call of Duty there :) YEAH! For those of you who don't already know this, these events are held to see who qualifies for the upcoming LA Riot(s). A lot of people are actually super interested in the LA Riots tournaments, my guess is it's because of the way everything is setup. It is just a really professional and fun setting.
LA Riots
I attended LA Riots 2 and I thought it was so fun. Unfortunately as of right now, the studio responsible for holding these tournaments is closing down so the date of LA Riots 3 is now uncertain, but still, I am excited for the next one! I am sure it will be just as great, if not better than the last few. My favorite thing about this is that the tournaments only last around three hours and it is all hard core competition between people who are not "scrubby". It is really interesting, and the streams for the past two LA Riots were amazing. I just loved the setting; it was very professional. Looking forward for the next one!
WEST COAST WARZONE 2!
This is the event I cannot wait for! The last one that I went to was fucking fun! It was amazing, everyone who helped put it together really went out of their ways to make it such a huge success. I love dedicated people like John Rog, who are willing to put everything on the line just to make a fun event for everyone in the fighting game scene. The second warzone is coming up April 2-4!

Again, thank you to everyone who is reading my blogs!

Girl Friend of a Hard Core Gamer
Hey everyone,
I was rereading all my posts and I realized that I never really posted something about my feelings toward my boyfriend being a Super gamer. So here we go!
I have loved this man since I was 14, and way before I knew he was into all of this stuff. I love him for who he is as a person and as a man. Keno is truly the best thing that has ever happened to me, and the solution to all my problems because he is always the first one to wipe away all of my tears and make me smile. Aside from all of this mushy stuff, video games have drastically changed my life. Like I have said before, I have met so many friends through Street Fighter 4. Before he brought me into this "world", we used to do normal people stuff, like go out to dinner or go to the movies. Now the main thing that we do is go to Arcade Infinity and play games, or play games at home... basically 90% of the things we do revolve around video games. I guess it is safe to say that sometimes I miss the way things were before I was introduced into this scene, but I definitely do not regret it. He makes me happy whether or not we are at the arcade or in a tournament. Keno always makes sure that my needs are met first. When I was sick and he found out, he immediately left a tournament that he was in to come get me and made sure that I was feeling better. I have just never had someone like him in my life. He keeps me with him everywhere he goes, and always tells me he loves me even if we are in the middle of an argument.
Street Fighter 4 has brought me countless numbers of friends, and has strengthened my relationship with my boyfriend. I have a new found respect for people who place top in a lot of tournaments because I know it isn't easy and it takes a lot of time and practice to become so good at something. I will always be the person standing next to Keno cheering him on to become a better person in life, and in his passion. Yeah this sounds all peachy and happy, but there are definitely some downsides to being in a relationship with video games and my boyfriend. I do miss the normal things that we used to do, and not having arguments about whether or not he will be attending a tournament that day to hang out with me. It really is about endurance and being able to adapt and love what you are adapting to. I am so happy with where our relationship right is now and I would not change meeting these people in Street Fighter 4 for the world.
It literally amazes me how much I know about this game now... like really, a few months ago I would sit at the table and not understand half the things everyone was talking about: FADC ultras, etc. I still don't know that much, but hey, I AM LEARNING!
(Shout out to Keno) Baby, I know I always complain about how long tournaments last and they really take a toll on me sometimes, but I just want you to know that I love you so much, and I am so proud of how well you do in everything you set your mind to. I know that this is your passion and has been a dream of yours since you were young, and I respect that you never let go of what you truly love to do. You are my motivation to strive for more in life, and you are always going to be the fire under my ass you sexy piece of milk chocolate :)
Thanks for reading everyone!

I know that this is your passion and has been a dream of yours since you were young, and I respect that you never let go of what you truly love to do. You are my motivation to strive for more in life, and you are always going to be the fire under my ass you sexy piece of milk chocolate :)
Thanks for reading everyone!

Triple Threat turn out
Hey everybody!
So, not to completely bash on yesterday's tournament, but out of ALL of the events that I have attended, the Triple Threat tournament was by far the "WORST" one I have EVER been to. It was said that the doors opened at 10:00 am, and the event was to begin at 11:00 am. I understand that a lot of times, these things start later then planned, BUT Triple Threat was over three hours late! It did not begin until around 2:30 pm. On top of that, we were charged $10.00 for parking in a crappy parking lot. THEN Keno and I found out that they were randomly charging for parking, and a lot of people paid, while others were not asked to. Of course he and I went to get our refund. That was so shady! This venue was in HAX, a damn gym and it was just ghetto, we were sharing the place with all these basketball players and bystanders. WELL, they were actually the people sharing their space with us all. Not to mention at night it was FREEZING COLD! In the grand finals, Justin Wong and Marn were blowing on their hands to try and keep them as warm as possible.
But WAIT... it gets even worse. Active Gamers was super short on their prize money and did not mention it to ANYONE until the end of the night. This tournament could have AND SHOULD HAVE ended by like 8:30 pm but lasted until practically 12 am. They were extremely irresponsible with organizing the events, and also providing the money that they said would be the prizes for the hard working winners. It has been a really really REALLY long time since I have dreaded these tournaments, but last night ROYALLY pissed me off. This was a complete waste of my time and to be honest, I am still peeved that I wasted my whole day there. But as always, being with my friends made the night a lot better for me and that was the best part of the night. My advice for active gamers next time (IF THERE IS A NEXT TIME) is to do a way better job organizing their events, and do not be shady in the monetary aspects of these things. Money is money, if you are short even one dollar, then you are short! OH and nobody has the time to stand around for over three hours to wait for you to start these damn tournaments, a lot of people were there around 9 am waiting for the doors to open at 10 am and we were not even allowed to see the venue until after 12:30 pm.
AND I have a super special question for active gamers... "What the hell was the point of the VIP tickets when the people who had them had to wait just like everyone else to get in the building?" Well, they provided 'free sandwiches'... whatever.
CONGRADULATIONS ON WINNING THE "WORST TOURNAMENT EVER ATTENDED" AWARD!
Good job to Marn for winning the tournament last night, even with the crappy weather conditions!

(Finally) Street Fighter 4 to ME
Hey everyone!
I just want to start off by thanking everyone for keeping up to date with my blog entries (there are not that many of you).
So this blog is something I should have maybe posted a little while ago, it is a basic summary of my weaknesses in sf4 and also my thoughts about bettering myself in this "hobby".
My weaknesses would definitely DEFINITELY have to start off with my execution. I have a lot of trouble canceling some moves with different characters, my execution is not that wonderful. I do not own a console or the game, therefore the only time I really play is when I go to Arcade Infinity. Execution is pretty hard to get down every time, and I get really frustrated when I can't do something. THIS GAME MAKES ME ANGRY!
My favorite 3 characters to play would have to be:
1. Balrog ---> Because I have been practicing with him a lot and know more about him than any other character.
2. Ryu ---> Currently learning his moves and he is really diverse and fun to play with.
3. Akuma ---> My Akuma is pretty next to ass, but he is really really fun to mess around with, and I learn a lot using him from time to time.
Does it bother me? Honestly, it doesn't bother me that I can't really practice this because in my spare time, I would rather be shopping, or earning money. And if I am playing any games it would only be Sims 3, or Call of Duty (this game is awesome)! I started to play because my boyfriend plays and is all professional at it, but other than that, I do not really have the interest to sit here and practice uppercuts and fireballs all day. People might think I am messed up for saying this, BUT, to me this is all "just" a video game. But readers, notice the two key words in that previous sentence: to ME. Besides the whole Pro aspect of this game, I like playing at the arcade because it's fun and gives me something entertaining to do.
Okay people, thanks for reading my update!

RESULTS OF (A.I. RANBAT 2.6)
Hey everyone,
I literally just got settled at home from the ranbat today. It was awesome and ran from around 2:30pm to 10:00pm. I am so proud to announce the:
SEASON CHAMP
RON KENO CAESAR!
& ALSO
FIRST PLACE WINNER OF RANBAT 2.6!
The turnout was not at all disappointing. Keno was sadly knocked into losers a little earlier in the tournament by Umeshoryu (Sagat). IT was extremely stressful and he had to consistently beat other top players: Kai (El Fuerte), Tatsu (Vega), Bryant (Balrog), Dae (Chun-li), etc. to win this tournament.
NOT TO MENTION
* He beat Mr. Alex Valle (Ryu) for first place! It was amazing!
I am so proud of his success and how he can walk his passion and always strive for better, that goes for his character in video games, and life. I made a sign for Keno to win and I am going to keep telling myself that he won because of my sign, ROFL! As always, all of the players did extremely well and put up an epic battle. Keno is a perfect example that practice can one day lead to the fruits of labor (as some would put it). This tournament was so enjoyable, and I have absolutely no regrets. Everyone fought a hard battle, but at the end of the night only one champion stood.
Keno played his matches very cautious, yet very smart, and is now basking in the glow of his victory. A lot of big name players competed against each other, which made this ranbat the most unforgettable one I have ever personally attended.
TOP 8 (LAST MEN STANDING)
1. Keno (Balrog)
2. Alex Valle (Ryu)
3. Tatsujinken (Vega)
4. Gootecks (Balrog)
5. Combojack (Sagat)
5. Kai (El Fuerte)
7. Bryant (Balrog)
7. Mr. KOF (Akuma)
THANK YOU TO
Shoo and everyone else who put this together, it was a very special night and a night well spent.
*ALSO*
The majority of people also went to banana bay for dinner right after. If you were there, you would know there were tons of people, great food, wonderful music, AND Combojack's amazing "yeah" performance.
*** CONGRADULATIONS KENO ***
*** SEASON CHAMPION ***
*** A.I. RANBAT 2.6 FIRST PLACE WINNER ***
Goodnight everyone,

A.I. Ranbat 2.6 Tomorrow
Hey people!
Tomorrow is the final ranbat of the second season at Arcade infinity. Try to go and support all the people who have entered! The season winner is between Keno (Balrog) & Jack (Sagat). It is going to be an epic day. There are going to be three set ups for the tournament. I am really excited to go! This is a pretty big event because it is the last battle of this season. All of the players have gone so far. Super Street Fighter 4 is also coming out very soon & when that happens a lot of people will be switching characters, it will be like playing a new game. I am kind of sad because I have spent some time becoming better at this game and now I need to start over again. I really want to test out Juri because her ultra is so SICK! Okay well good luck to all the competitors tomorrow! See you all there!
Teresa
(Sad to say but the East Coast C. Viper master AKA Marn has decided to move to Las Vegas, Nevada. So we should all wish him luck out there!)
